We're On Facebook!

Well, we have decided to take the next step in this exciting venture and create a Facebook page supporting Jones Family Photography. Check it out (screen shot below). We would love your support as we try our entrepreneurial hand at starting a small photography business. How can you help? Well I am glad you asked! Here are 3 simple ideas:

1) Head over to our Facebook page and "Like" us.

2) Once you "Like" our page, SHARE it! Let all your Facebook friends know about us.

3) Book a session! We'd love to help you capture that special moment - whether it's a new baby in the family (or one on the way), an engagement, senior pics, or that family photo you've always wanted - we are here for that and more!! Contact us at jonesfamphoto@gmail.com or (404) 431-4149 to schedule a session and for pricing details.

Owen on the Loose!

We knew the day would come when Owen would start getting into everything and we'd have to break down and "child-proof" our house. Little did we know how quickly that day would come and that Owen would literally get in to EVERYTHING!! Despite my efforts to add kid-proof locks to the kitchen cabinets, Owen still manages to find drawers that he can open and shut. But really it's okay with me, because it is so much fun to watch him learn, overcome challenges, and get excited when he succeeds! He is such a curious little guy and Ashley and I know we're going to have our hands full with him. But that is something that I will wholeheartedly embrace!!

Check out some of the mischief he's been up to lately in the kitchen.

Playtime with Owen

We've recently completed a minor renovation. We'll call it a DIY dining room conversion. Since we moved in over a year ago, we've had our "dining room" set up in the traditional manner - table, chairs, some wall decor. Ashley even went through the pains of recovering the chairs before we moved in. But, since then we've used the room once I think... Not the best use of space. So, we recently decided to convert our dining room into Owen's play room. We painted the walls, added a big comfy chair, purchased a rug with a town layout, and installed a swing. That's right - we installed a swing!! This was daddy's idea, and Owen LOVES it!! Coolest play room on the block! Here is Owen enjoying some fun times in his new space!

Fun at the Park with Daddy

Last night was the first big consignment sale of the season. Ashley was fortunate to get a pass for early access to the sale. She managed to nab a few solid purchases (pack-n-play, toys, clothes). Unfortunately - when we came home and had time to research the pack-n-play a bit further we found it had been recalled :( Needless to say we were really bummed. Actually more of a combination of bummed and angry. Angry that someone was selling a recalled baby product which had led to many injuries and even one death! Fortunately, the folks running the sale were great to take the item back despite the "No Return" policy.

But while mommy was busy shopping for Owen, Daddy and Owen had some quality time together. It actually began with Owen asleep in his car seat and me driving around trying to keep him asleep (he'd missed his afternoon nap and can get kinda cranky...). Eventually he woke up and we headed to the park to play a little. Here's a couple photos from our time together.

Some Instragram Fun

So Ashley and Owen traveled to Birmingham to meet our new niece Emma Grace (pictures from her newborn photo shoot to come). While my 2 better halves (or is it technically thirds...?) were away, daddy had a little extra time to play. I ran a quick Google Earth search of areas surrounding our home looking for potential fishing holes, found a good looking spot, and loaded up the truck! And while I didn't catch anything, I think I discovered an awesome new fishing hole. Below are just a few pics I took with the old iPhone and retouched via Instagram. Enjoy!
